Hillsborough County School Lunch Debt

Student debt for seniors could mean they will be unable to participate in graduation ceremonies.  High school  seniors should not have to worry about outstanding debt interfering with end-of-year activities.

While the "most important meal of the day" (breakfast) is free, lunches are not. The school lunch program is partially funded by federal and state monies, but there is a gap between the cost of providing a nutritious meal and what parents pay.

School Meal Prices

Breakfast - FREE
Elementary Lunch - $2.25
Middle and High School Lunch - $2.75

Lunch is critical to student health and well-being, especially for low-income students—and helps to ensure that students have nutrition they need throughout the day to learn.

Friends and neighbors in Hillsborough County, we are asking for your support to help us pay off the county's student lunch debt.

Together we can show our support for local families during these uncertain times.
