3 Parables to Remind You that Jesus will Never Let You Go!

3 Parables to Remind You that Jesus will Never Let You Go!

by M. Karshna

Sometimes, we may feel like Jesus doesn’t hear us. It is easy to ask ourselves if Jesus really would do anything to make sure that we could be His children. We are told all the time that we can never be snatched out of the hand of God, and Jesus wanted to make sure that we could rest always in this fact by the truths found in not one, not two, but three parables that He taught to make sure that His disciples could know that they are safe forever in the embrace of Jesus. These parables, the Lost Sheep, Lost Coin, and Prodigal Son, are the most profound reminder from the Savior of the world that Jesus will never let us go, and that we will always remain in His love, grace, and protection.

In case you need this reminder right away, these parables can be found in

1. Luke 15:3-7

2. Luke 15:8-10

3. Luke 15:11-32

1. Luke 15:3-7: We often find ourselves lost, disconnected, and seeking something more. The Parable of the Lost Sheep reminds us that in those moments of isolation, we are never alone. Jesus shared this parable, as recorded in Luke 15:3-7, to illustrate the depth of His love and commitment to each one of us. In this parable, a shepherd leaves behind his ninety-nine sheep to search for the one that strayed. The shepherd's relentless pursuit of the lost sheep mirrors Christ's unwavering love for us. He rejoices when the lost is found, showing us that no matter how far we wander, He will always seek us out.

2. Luke 15:8-10: But Jesus did not stop there with one parable; let's consider the Parable of the Lost Coin from Luke 15:8-10. This story unveils the profound truth that each of us holds immeasurable value in the eyes of God. In this parable, a woman diligently searches for a lost coin, lighting a lamp and sweeping her house until it is found. The intensity of her search represents God's relentless pursuit of His lost children. This parable reminds us that even when we feel insignificant or lost, God sees us, values us, and seeks to restore us to our rightful place in His love.

3. Luke 15:11-32: One of the most beloved and impactful parables in the Bible is the Parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15:11-32. This parable encapsulates the essence of redemption, forgiveness, and the boundless grace of our Heavenly Father. In this parable, a wayward son squanders his inheritance and finds himself destitute. When he returns home, his father runs to embrace him, welcoming him with open arms. The older brother's resentment highlights the struggle some may face in accepting God's boundless grace. This parable reminds us that, like the prodigal son, we may make mistakes and stray from our Father's loving embrace. Yet, when we turn back to Him, He doesn't judge or condemn us; rather, He celebrates our return. It is a testament to the unfathomable depth of God's love and forgiveness.

In these parables, we find a tapestry of love, redemption, and grace woven together by the master storyteller, Jesus Christ. They serve as a powerful reminder that, no matter how lost or broken we may feel, our Heavenly Father's love remains constant and unwavering. The Lost Sheep teaches us that God actively seeks us when we stray, demonstrating His relentless love. The Lost Coin reminds us of our immeasurable worth in God's eyes, sparking hope even in the darkest of times. The Prodigal Son showcases the Father's boundless grace and His yearning for our return, illustrating that it's never too late to come back to Him. In these parables, we discover the heart of Jesus, who assures us that He will never let us go. His love, forgiveness, and grace are always available to us, no matter how far we've wandered. As we contemplate these stories, let us take them to heart, allowing them to inspire us to seek our Savior, embrace His grace, and extend that same grace to others. In doing so, we walk in the footsteps of the Good Shepherd, the diligent woman, and the loving father, reflecting the boundless love of our Heavenly Father in our own lives.

Lets Pray

Heavenly Father, we are humbled by the love and grace You pour upon us. Just as You never gave up on the lost sheep, never ceased searching for the lost coin, and eagerly embraced the prodigal son, we trust in Your promise to never let us go. May these parables inspire us to seek You wholeheartedly and to extend grace and forgiveness to others. In Your name, we pray. Amen.
