You are NOT a Failure!

You are NOT a Failure!

by M. Karshna

In the journey of life, we often encounter moments of self-doubt and insecurity. We may feel like failures because we don’t feel like we are doing enough, or maybe our mental health is telling us that we aren’t enough. Sometimes, others will make us feel like we are failures. And at the worst of times, we very well might have failed; this, is just how life is sometimes. It’s during these times that we need a reminder of our inherent worth and the boundless love that surrounds us, and that it is not in these moments that are the ultimate definer of who we are. For those who follow the teachings of Jesus, the Gospel books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John offer profound insights and verses that reassure us that we are not failures in His eyes. Jesus came to save us from not only our sins, but to remind us that He never once viewed us as failures, but as His children, worthy of love and praise. He also inspired these things in us so that we would in turn show them to others.

Lets Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, as we remember the words of Jesus, we ask for your guidance and illumination. May Your love and encouragement resonate with our hearts and remind us of your unending love and grace. Help us understand that we are not failures in your eyes, but cherished and valued beyond measure. In Jesus's name, we pray. Amen.

You are NOT a Failure!

You are not a failure in Jesus’s eyes, and you never will be—

 1. Mark 10:27

 2. Luke 12:6-7

 3. John 10:27-29

1. Mark 10:27: In Mark 10:27, Jesus declares, “…With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God” (AMP). This verse embodies the essence of faith and hope. It serves as a powerful reminder that our limitations do not define us in Jesus's eyes. He sees the potential for growth, transformation, and miraculous change within each of us. When we face challenges and setbacks, we must remember that Jesus sees beyond our present circumstances. He knows that, with His divine guidance and grace, we can overcome obstacles and achieve the seemingly impossible. In His eyes, we are not failures but vessels of His love and instruments of His purpose. Let us then show this to others also.

2. Luke 12:6-7: In Luke 12:6-7, Jesus reassures us of our worth in God's eyes: “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? Yet not one of them has [ever] been forgotten in the presence of God. Indeed the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you are far more valuable than many sparrows” (AMP). This passage reminds us that God's care extends even to the smallest creatures, emphasizing how much more valuable we are to Him. Every detail of our lives matters to God. He knows us intimately and cherishes us beyond measure. In Jesus's eyes, we are not failures; we are precious and beloved children of the Heavenly Father. We should always treat others with the same value and respect.

3. John 10:27-29: In John 10:27-29, Jesus speaks of His role as the Good Shepherd: “The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand” (AMP). This profound passage reminds us of the intimate relationship between Jesus, the Good Shepherd, and His followers. Jesus knows His sheep, and they recognize His voice. He assures us of eternal life and the security of being held in His hand, as well as the Father's hand. In Jesus's eyes, we are not failures; we are His cherished sheep, under His loving and protective care. This verse encourages us to trust in the unbreakable bond we share with Him and find solace in the knowledge that we are eternally secure in His love.

In the Gospel books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, we find profound verses that remind us of our worth and significance in Jesus's eyes. These passages invite us to find rest in His presence, believe in the limitless possibilities of faith, and embrace our immeasurable value as His beloved children. In times of self-doubt and insecurity, let us turn to these verses as a source of inspiration and encouragement. For in Jesus's eyes, we are not failures, but rather, we are cherished, valued, and empowered to live a life filled with purpose and grace. Embrace the love of the Savior, and may it fill your heart with hope and assurance on this beautiful journey of life.

Lets Pray

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the constant love and reassurance of Jesus, and we thank you for the life they provide. May we carry these words in our hearts as a constant reminder that we are not failures in your eyes.
