Stop Shaming Yourself

Stop Shaming Yourself, and Start Loving Yourself More

The start to living your best life is accepting your past, living in the present, and loving yourself for everything in-between.

Self-compassion, the act of treating oneself with the same kindness and understanding that we would offer a close friend, is a practice that can have a profound impact on our emotional well-being and overall quality of life. It's a path to self-love that allows us to stop shaming ourselves and embrace a healthier, more positive relationship with our inner selves.

In a world where standards of success and perfectionism can often be overwhelming, self-shaming has become all too common. Many of us engage in negative self-talk, magnify our flaws, and ruminate over past mistakes. We impose unrealistic expectations on ourselves and then berate ourselves when we don't meet them. This cycle of self-shaming can be relentless, causing emotional distress, low self-esteem, and even mental health issues.

Stop Shaming Yourself

We all have a tendency to be hard on ourselves. You're not alone in that. 80% of having a successful life is in the mind.  If you start loving yourself for who you are, and for who you want to become, your best life can emerge!

Damaged, everyone has a past. Everyone has something that they feel has made them damaged. You deserve support as you heal.

Getting over it.  Your feelings are valid.  Feelings are not right or wrong, they just are how you feel.  After you've gone through something, it takes courage to acknowledge the life lesson and to go forward.

You did not deserve it.  By choosing you, your safety, your sanity, your well being, you can move forward. Baby steps forward.  Even if it feels like 2 steps ahead, one step back... you're still one step forward!

Pretending you're ok is not okay.   It takes real strength to be honest with yourself, and to be honest with where you are on the healing scale. So Just LOVE you for you, the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful.

And, don't forget to give yourself compassion. You have compassion for others, you should also have compassion for yourself. Forgiving yourself for the past, moving forward so that you can be the person that you want to be.  Living your best life starts with self compassion and loving you for who you are and for who you want to be.
